Session Vault — Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026-07-15

Session Vault is a Chrome extension that helps you save and restore browser tabs. This privacy policy explains what data the extension handles and how.

Summary

Session Vault does not collect, transmit, or share any of your data. Everything stays on your device.

What data Session Vault stores

Where data goes

Nowhere off your device. The extension does not include analytics, telemetry, crash reporting, remote logging, or any external network calls of its own.

Favicons displayed in the dashboard may be loaded from Google's public favicon service (www.google.com/s2/favicons) as a fallback when a cached favicon URL is unavailable. This is a request your browser makes to display an image; no personal data is sent.

Automatic backups

If you enable automatic backups, Session Vault writes a JSON backup file to your Chrome Downloads folder on your chosen schedule. This file lives on your local machine. Session Vault does not upload it anywhere.

Payment processing

If and when you purchase Session Vault Pro, payment is handled by a third-party payment processor (ExtensionPay via Stripe). Session Vault itself never sees your payment details. The processor's own privacy policies apply — see ExtensionPay privacy and Stripe privacy.

Permissions explained

Data deletion

You can delete individual sessions or all sessions at any time from the dashboard. Uninstalling the extension removes all stored data.
